Not BYOD but BaB = Bring A Browser

Take 20 minutes and sit back to watch the video below. Stephen Heppell, from the recent Future of Learning Conference, discusses how adults need to trust that students can be good learners, that they can be professional, and they can be part of the Learning Revolution. Heppell shares many real-world examples. One example he shares is the idea of having students in charge of ‘building their own classroom’ and actually allowing it to happen.Another example Heppell shares is encouraging students  to write on anything, well almost anything, in the classroom. Having whiteboard-like surfaces on the walls and tabletops with a variety of colored markers and access to mobile cameras to capture the drawings/brainstorming has been a freeing experience in some schools and even in some businesses. Certainly an easy change for any classroom of today to implement!

“We are not going to build better learning for our children; we are going to build it with our children”
