Social Media Grad Class 2011

06 Apr

When I came upon this infographic I immediately wanted to share it. As part of the educational community in the midst of this technology revolution, I see myself as a conduit in sharing research, pertinent educational technology integration frameworks and great instructional practices. Where does this infographic fall into the above three categories?

All of the above….

I have the opportunity to work in a learning environment that is supportive, reflective and wanting whats best for students. We focus our conversations and direction on our students needs and their success. It’s a challenging yet rewarding process. This infographic reminds me of the behind-the-scenes work we do in our school division – from our Transportation department using digital GPS and future student card scanning technology, to our IT department adding public wi-fi for personal mobile devices. Why do we do this?

It’s simple – our students matter.

Please enjoy reading the infographic below. Try TWO things as you scan it:

1) If you were part of this Class of 2011, which social media “kid” would you be and why?

2) Is there a social media “kid” not represented? Which one and what clubs and quote would they have?
